Dear Phyllis & Ron, I wanted to report how very pleased I am with my new Kestar boots. As President of Equestrian Promotions, Inc., I spend very long hours on my feet working our Horse World Expo Shows. On average during the shows, I'm on my feet as much as 14 hours per day hustling up and down the aisles on concrete. In years past, I have always worn my hiking boots - which were a comfortable, but less than attractive solution to having sore and tired feet. Over the past 10 years of doing Expos, I had tried everything from tennis shoes to custom made rubber soled shoes, and up until this year, the only footwear that I found to hold up to those hard, 14 hour days, were my hiking boots. Well, when we spoke about your paddock boots, I was skeptical at best. You were kind enough to ship me several pairs to try on, the last pair arriving just the day before leaving for our Maryland event. I slipped those boots on at my home to test for fit, and then carted them to the show with me, without much hope that I would be wearing them for more than a couple hours. On Friday morning, I decided to wear them instead of my hiking boots, I had a new interview to do, and wanted a more attractive look than what I can get with my hiking boots, but carried my trusty hiking boots along in a bag to change into - since I was certain, there was no way your boot would ever be as comfortable. Well, I am pleased to report that I was very wrong. My hiking boots didn't leave their bag the rest of the weekend. The Kestar boot fit like an old glove right out of the box - no break in period required. The leather was so soft and supple, that there was no pinch anywhere on the foot, something I have experienced with every other leather paddock boot I have ever worn. And the stylish look of the boot goes great with my work attire. I will be ordering a second pair from you shortly so that I can wear one pair for riding and the other pair for every day. Thank you for finally making a boot that can be worn comfortable every day, thank you also for the great customer service and quick response to my questions and requests, and most of all, thank you for making a boot in sizes that fit us tall ladies - it's not easy to find boot/shoe manufacturers that make them in a size 12! After years in quality boots such as Ariat, I have developed a bunion and all the long term effects associated with that. I couldn't find a boot that was wide enough or had enough ankle support. Since I started wearing Kestar boots my feet have stabilized, no longer hurt, and I have no more ankle sprains. I forgot how nice it is to be pain free. Now, I don't generally "write the company" I just spread the word - as I did - with multiple purchases by my friends attending the same event. But this time I just had to "write." With past history including herniated lumbar and cervical discs, a broken leg and heel spurs - yes I'm hard pressed to stand all day. Yet my job sometimes demands it and I do it. I have plenty of shoes, boots and shoe inserts to help me along the way. Yet I've gotta tell you - your product is the only boot I can wear comfortably all day long. Used with permission. After trying on boot after boot after boot, I had about given up ever finding something comfortable. My last pair was many years old, had been to England and Ireland, slogged through New England seasons and met their demise in Texas. It never occured to me that finding another pair would be so difficult! I walked by the Kestar booth at EA Mass last November and spent quite a long time chatting. I thought, surely if Ariats and some of the other big names were uncomfortable, this little company would be, too. A few laps around the event found me back at Kestar trying on boots. I told Ron I had wide feet and hated being squished into boots. He gave me a few pairs to try, but nothing was quite right. Ok, I tend to be a bit particular about my footwear! He said, "We'll find the right pair, don't worry". Into the men's boots we went. Lo and behold - he did it! He sent me to walk about the building. I came back and said they needed more padding. Thicker insoles were put in, and I had my perfect pair of boots! My feet have been smiling ever since! I love these boots SO much, that I wear them everywhere, even to work. My niece asked at a Christmas party why I was wearing my riding boots. I told her they were the most comfortable things I've ever owned! Now I need another pair to wear around the farm!
